Operation Toofan 2.0
Public Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign
Programme Details
The programme was organised with the objective of protecting the younger generation from the grip of substance abuse and extending anti-drug awareness to every section of society. As part of the programme, various activities including the hoisting of the Toofan Flag, distribution of Toofan Warrior Badges, an anti-drug awareness class, and a live video screening were conducted. The programme emphasised that the fight against substance abuse is not the responsibility of any one individual or institution alone, but a shared social responsibility requiring the collective participation of families, educational institutions, the community, the administration, and law-enforcement agencies. The programme was inaugurated by Shri. V. N. Peethambaran, President of Koruthodu Grama Panchayat. Elected representatives of the Grama Panchayat, various officers of Mundakayam Police Station, Panchayat officials, social workers, youth, students, and others participated in the programme. Along with strengthening vigilance and prevention against substance abuse, the programme provided a platform for a collective pledge to build a drug-free society. It also marked the beginning of various awareness and outreach activities aimed at strengthening anti-drug awareness in every family, educational institution, and public space. “Say no to drugs; protect our tomorrow.”
